Managing Director, Consultancy
Alex has been working in cleantech startups at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition for over a decade. He is an experienced entrepreneur, company director and manager with natural leadership and communication skills, and is passionate about energy and climate change issues.
Alex holds an engineering degree from Imperial College, and began his career as an electrical engineer working with power systems. Later Alex introduced ‘measurement & verification’ (M&V) to the UK energy efficiency industry, founding the respected consultancy EEVS Insight and serving as Managing Director for 5 years. He now acts as a board advisor to the company having exited in 2016 following its acquisition. Alex also holds an MBA (Distinction) from Ashridge Business School.
Alex has extensive experience working with corporate and public sector clients on behind-the-meter energy performance projects and programmes. He is interested in the systemic causes of underinvestment in energy efficiency, and advises CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) on reducing corporate emissions through improved energy productivity.
