EnergyPro partners with merchant bank Cameron Barney
EnergyPro is pleased to announce that it has expanded its ability to fulfil its purpose of increasing capital flows into energy and resource efficiency by entering a partnership with Cameron Barney, a merchant bank focussed on infra-tech. This partnership greatly enhances our capacity to bring capital to entrepreneurial companies combining infrastructure and technology to create sustainable solutions.
Cameron Barney LLP is one of the foremost advisers and investors in the UK’s fibre broadband sector having been the earliest funders of rural broadband and advising many of the UK’s alternative fibre network companies. Since 2008 Cameron Barney has been providing strategic financial advice to a range of entrepreneurial companies intent on building long-term sustainable businesses by deploying technology to improve infrastructure and the solutions and services that rely upon them. In particular, Cameron Barney has advised and invested in providers of fibre and wireless broadband, data centres and cloud computing, healthcare software, energy transition, LED lighting and electric vehicle infrastructure. In 2017 Cameron Barney was appointed, with Infracapital, to manage one of the funds into which HM Government invested to support full fibre deployment in the UK.
EnergyPro will continue to provide advice on energy efficiency, energy services and financing efficiency to a range of corporates, local and national governments and international institutions as it has done since 2012. As well as providing advice and thought leadership through its consultancy, EnergyPro also has an investment arm in a JV with Energy Efficiency Services Ltd, the Indian state owned energy services company which has deployed over £60m of capital into UK energy efficiency and provides unique access to India.
